Football legend George Weah, 51, has been sworn in as President
of Liberia. It’s the country's first democratic transfer of power in 70 years. President
Weah took over from Africa's first female president, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf.
Liberians of all ages formed long lines outside Samuel Kanyon Doe Stadium, near
the capital, Monrovia, to witness the inauguration. The new President has
promised to Tackle corruption, Help the private sector, Youth training, Transparency
and Respect for rights and democracy.
