The Ooni of Ife His Imperial Majesty Ooni  Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi has expressed his heartfelt condolence to the President of Ghana His Excellency John Manama, His family and the entire good people of Ghana over the shocking death of the president's mother Mrs. Abiba Nnaba Mahama who died recent at the age of 85.
Speaking through his Director of Media and Public Affairs Comrade Moses Olafare on Tuesday in Washington DC, the African foremost king described the late mother of president Mahama as an extraordinary epitome of enviable womanhood that deserves to be always remembered as she lived a life of service, love, compassion, excellence and a pillar solidly behind her husband especially during the political trying times of the late 1960s who stopped at nothing to train her children to greater heights.

Ooni of Ife, Dr. Adeyeye Ogunwusi (Ojaja II)

"Mr President, your late mother will surely be missed by everyone for she had lived a life of an epitome of a good wife and a loving mother who not only stood by her husband in the political dark period of 1960s but also laboured so hard to see you  and your siblings become successful in life. Your heart shall soon be filled with wonderful memories of your joyful times together as you celebrate a life well spent by your great mother.

May her gentle soul rest in the perfect peace of the Almighty God the king of kings". Ooni Ogunwusi said.
